Nuisance of railway police on vadodara station
Dear sir. I am pratik asnani, a common man staying in baroda and am writing this communication to highlight some rude facts which I have recently experienced. Since you are the right medium who can escalate such issues, I would appreciate if you can help me to raise my voice against the wrong happenings. The other day, I had visited railway station to deliver a pacel to one of my relative who was travelling. I by mistake parked my bike in the no parking area (there was no sign board previously and they have put up this only few days back) on alkapuri side. When I came back after delivering the parcel, I was told that this was no parking area and I am suppose to pay fine. Since this was a mistake from my part, I accepted that and was ready to pay the fine. The official standing at the parking area told me that he is not the right person to collect the fine and the same has to be paid at rpf station on vadodara railway station. Thinking that the official might be following the rules laid down, I agreed to that also. Like a terrorist, I was escalated to the rpf base station with two officers, one in front and one at the back. There were other 7-8 people who also were caught for the same reason. At rpf base, we were told that they too don't have any authority to collect the fine and it is the magistrate who would decide the matter. This came as a surprise to me. The official standing in the parking area told me to pay the fine at rpf base and sort the issue out and it would take only 5-10 minutes and post coming to rpf base the story was altogether different. Sir, you won't believe, they made us sit behind the bars (in a kind of jail which they have created on railway station) for almost 3 hours. Atlast, we were taken to magistrate and their he decided 50 rs fine for each of us. (The reciept was also not given to us for the same). Sir, some of my concerns after going through such experiences! 1) are we suppose to get this harsh punishment I.E. Sitting behind the bars along with other culprits for wrong parking. 2) is rpf empowered this much that they treat common man in such ruthless manner. 3) how far is it justified to punish common man for such minor offences. I mean we do understand that the law and order is to be maintained, but punishing at this level. When anyone is ready to pay the fine, officials should collect the same and let them go. 4) what happens to rpf when some miscreants are harassing people in trains. Their is a lot of nuisance of daily commuters and pass holders in trains wherin people occupying seats are forced to vacate the seats. Why is rpf not acting on such and why common man is being punished severely for such small offences. I request you give coverage to such nuisances going at baroda railway station and highlight this issue to the general public. Thanking you for all the support and cooperation. I am totally agree with you. The rude behaviour from the rpf personnals are nowadays becoming regular. We have to raise the voice again such culprits. And the constable level class 3 or 4 people are ruling and ruing the rpf position and culture. I am searching to lodge complain for this.
Today only I face such behaviour nd treated like terrorist. When I tell them that I am class 1 officer then they just left me to go. Just think what these people do with some local persons who dont have power or position?

I have gone through the same yesterday itself(8/11/2012). The guys were unbelievably rude and if requested even the they threatened me with dire consequences . Even one officer said " yeh bahut bol raha hai isko andar leke jayo aur samjhao" . And I was like this rude and mad behavior just for wrong parking.
I went there tatkal ticket but bcoz they didn't let me go in time I was the last one for queue and henc couldn't get reservation for the second time straight in 2 days.. I mean I was already upset with not securing a seat even after trying for two days.. and on top of that these morons..
when we waited for the magistrate we were told to pay rs. 50 fine but I was not given any receipt and on top of that I was not given back my remaining rs 50 because I have him rs. 100/- Coz there was no spare change with me at the time.. coincidently it was the same rude guy who threatened me earlier for just saying that making me sitting here is wrong as I won't be able to secure a tatkal ticket..
surprisingly enough there was one guy in the parking area he had some one who was an inspector in police. Just bcoz he was relative to some cop he was free without any charge or anything.
If you are a common man then this is how you will be treated here..
request you to please spread this to aware more people ..
these guys have sold themselves in the hands of power and corruption.

It is very unfortunate that no is able to excalate such issues to the extent it should go. I've written to n number of officials in railways media and what not but there is no response to any of the communication.
Well this is the hard realty which we common people need to accept. All we can do is to move along with the flow. Personally I know allot of people who have recently suffered from such nuisance and it is still going on.
Rpf is empowered to haress the common man and there is absolutely no control on these personnel. I at times pity myself for taking birth in such a country where in we need to compromise on our self respect on every other step we take.
