I flew down along the way from bangalore to my native chandernagore to take my mother for an eye doctor and then, my mother (jaba das, on whose name this order was placed) and I went to order for a spectacle from the nearest titan eye plus store on 11th august 012. Post selection of the frame the type of lenses and making payment, the store told us that the spectacle will be ready within some 7 days. On requesting them and making them understand the urgency, they printed the delivery date to be 17th august 012. On august 16th, I had called them to check the status, they said their "fitter" who fits lenses in the frames had an emergency and had to go home and that the spects will be ready on time. The next they they give me a call saying that the lens they have ordered and the one they have received are of different powers and that they have re ordered on 16th itself. After a long discussion they agreed to deliver the spects after 3-4 days and that has not yet happened. They have agreed to courier it to the place where my mother stays. I now think that they have lied to us many times, every time I called them they have said some or the other thing. This incident has caused a lot of problem for us as I stay in bangalore and my mother stays in jharkhand and the spectacle shop is in chandernagore, west bengal. Had they given the spects on the promised date, my mother would have been able to collect it from them during her stay in chandernagore, use it as she has critical eye power and would not have to struggle with her fragile and weak vision due to this irresponsible people. This incident has really disturbed us. It becomes difficult for all of us, if we are taken for a ride by this kind of branded people. I can give in more elaborate details when this complaint is taken forward. I would expect a strong action against this store so that they learn an lesson and not take other customers who pay and buy for a round.
