Police verification not done

I live in pune; here no one comes to your door for address verification. Instead you have to call your area police station to check whether they have received your passport application.

If they confirm that they have your application they will call you to visit the station with all your documents.

They will verify all the document in station and they will send the report back to passport office.

So check with your area police station.

Do we have to pay anything when visiting the police station??
