Passport not yet received because of sp office, delay in sending the report
Applied for passport of my minor son (file no. Dl1060343956912) on 14/05/2012 passport seva kendra, herald house, ito, new delhi. Within 8-10 days a police verification was done at my residence. But when I visited the passport office today (12.07.2012)at bhikaji kama place,where passport is printed and dispatched, they said that no police verification report reached to them. In passportindia.Gov.In track application status still says: police verification (pv) has been initiated and a pv request has been sent to sp office, district south delhi. Your passport will be dispatched after clear police verification report is received at regional passport office. You would receive an email/Sms once the passport is dispatched.

Hi just want to share my experience..I applied passport 3 months back..saw the status on passport site & come to know that application is in sp office I directly called sp. He told me one thing that this passport office are so late they clear their backlogs first..this is just because of their laziness..very disappointed with this passport service..god will not spare these people who makes others life disturbed.

Please wait for 2-3 days. I am also in the same boat and the status was updated today. Let me know once you get the sms/Email for dispatch or get the passport itself once. It will be helpfull for others on this website as well

Ya I have also joined your boat @parag please let us know whether u have got the passport if not then go to rpo as soon as possible and request them to dispatch the passport.
