Huge electricity bill from Assam power

I am nabajit chutia tenent at resident of mr naren baruah since oct 2010 and paying electricity bills as it comes. We have a separate meter (consumer no: 904) and the owner has consumer no 033, but I am asked to pay a bill amount of rs.17683/- Which shows a meter reading of 4672kwh, when I went for clarification to apdcl they informed me that it was calculated wrongly earlier and hence those bills were less amount which they corrected this month and I need to pay. I have another doubt that owner has some consumer's connected to our meter. Our billing period is of 15th day so please help asap else next bill will be generate on 15th of july.
