Money duped by Country Club

Dear sir/Madam, one unfortunate day (24 october, 1... I will mark this day as bloody black day) I had filled a coupon with my details on one of your (country club) promotional coupon at big cinemas, ameerpet, hyderabad. On 30.Oct.2011 at about 10 am I got a call from one of your executives saying that I had won their promotional offer in which they had only selected few families in which I am one of them. He said that I have to reach their office with my family for a get together and post which there would be a small time party for all the winners together. He also said that both husband and wife has to come to office for signing those documents. He again called me at 3.00pm and persuaded me to come at 5.00pm meeting in which only few families are coming and the whole team is looking forward to meet me. I reached their office (country club, begumpet) exactly at 5.00 pm with my wife. But when I reached their office I had seen that in one of their office rooms are filled with fifteen executives, standing in front of each table and with three chairs are next to each table. In reception they had given a paper in which asked me to write my name, who called me, and my signature. In another paper which is a questionnaire, they had asked me to write my job and name. Shiva kumar (s/O venkateshwarlu)(phone nos: 9700013300; 14), sales manager at country vacations with help of his sales assistant briefed me about an investment package... if I enroll as member then, I was offered a special rate as rs. ,000 for life time membership that include 150 sq yards of land, free vacations of 7 days per year for next 5 years, life time member ship of country club for my whole family, gift vouchers, micro oven and 30 massage vouchers and so on... funny part was that I am not given any time to think about it and I have to make my decision before I leave the room... my wife DID not believe this and said let us move, I waited and said this company is big for sure and anything a big company says cannot be ignored, this may be a good investment plan let us take it up and there are so many perks which we can enjoy as family... however I expressed that I do not have all the money to pay at this point... I am interested but will have to wait to accumulate some money, shiva kumar said, you may use your credit card and pay the money, I said I only have an american express and no other credit cards and by using american express I will have to repay all the amount in short duration, shiva kumar said, do not worry sir, I shall help you get a new credit card in next 15 days and added country vacations has a tie up with hdfc & sbi and I can convert the transactions into emi free of cost, after lot of hesitation from my side and persuasion from shiva, I DID agree to pay but I DID not carry my wallet, hence requested to give 24 hrs of time... shiva told me this is a golden offer cannot be extended to next day also and I will have to close it that day only and he sent his team (a lady and a gentleman) to my house to carry my credit card to swipe (at about 9:30 pm in the evening) while I gave my card to swipe the boy took the card back to office to swipe the amount, the lady stayed at my house as assurance that my card will come back, after an hour the boy returned, I was returned with my credit card and transaction slip of rs 000. Few days later shiva called me to himayat nagar office to handover the micro oven (onida made, cost rs ,000 approx) and I had actually collected the oven plus rs 1500 sodexho vouchers signing in the register while I took the oven, shiva took back the sodexho vouchers stating that I actually DID not win the oven, I had only won the sodexho vouchers... he said other man who won the oven DID not want it hence he wanted to exchange with the vouchers... I DID doubt, if I DID not win the micro oven why DID I sign in the register against it... I let it go meaning that if I can give him these vouchers he shall be a helpful resource thru the journey to come, however, I have realized he has been a painful resource thru the journey. Shiva DID help me with a new credit card from hdfc in quick time, I gave him the card and requested him to help me with swiping max amount (rs 55k) to pay off my american express debts... he DID swipe the amount and came back to me stating I have been luckily offered a prime plot at the allocated area... if I can pay rs ,000 more I can own more 150 sq yards land adjoining to my previous plot, together it will be the most valuable plot. I said I cannot afford this and I am already clueless how to pay my previous 1 lac to american express... he went on persuading and said not to worry I shall help you with sbi card with high limit and you will be getting this in next 15 days time... he was too good in convincing people, he organized for a dinner for my family on my daughter's birthday and DID me in. I again used my american express card and paid balance of the amount. He helped me with sbi card and swiped rs ,000 + rs ,000 + ,000 separately and paid me the money in multiple installments after so many calls (infact thousands of calls), pleading, cribbing and crying and sometimes screaming my chest out, he still has to pay me rs 800 which he claims this is transactions charges... I really doubt if this is transaction charges, if it is… this should be reflecting in my credit card transaction. I have received the country club membership cards after about 3 months and many follow ups. I have received acknowledgement letter for rs ,000 and not for the amount of rs 0... I was not shown the plot area too, while I checked with shiva (by now he is a busy man, he does not take my calls, does not return my calls) after many many calls and sms's he tells me only one thing "do not worry, I will look into it, I shall show you the plot in two days"... I have checked with customer care (anil was the boy who attended my call then) he confirmed that they have received rs 1 lac and eligible for 1 plot of 150 sq yards, and if I had any further questions I should call shiva himself. Me and my family got extremely worried, I tried reaching shiva and he seldom took my calls, and once in a while I was lucky to speak to him and he kept on saying do not worry , I am there..." months passed by and situation DID not improve and our worries got doubled, we were now serious of seeing the plot and were keen to register and called shiva on this, he said, I have other things to do, I cannot hang around you all the time, this was insane and insulting for us who have invested more than half of our savings into country club, by now we were sure that we were duped and our money is gone and thought of approaching the police and only hesitated that we should not bring down the reputation of a company just because of a person... so we decided we write to the company and wait for response... so we wrote to 'investorsgrievance@countryclubmail.Com' and 'info@aarthiconsultants.Com'... waited for response, no one seemed to be bothered, very bad for a company with high reputation. We called to speak to gm of the company (mr suman) at 494, I was told gm comes once or twice in a month and I should only be fortunate to see him or talk to him. Then I called himayat nagar branch office at 5069 to share my grievance, lady who attended the call told me that I would get a call in half an hour's time and someone would address my issue, I waited whole day and no one called me. Yesterday I visited the himayat nagar branch and narrated the whole issue to a lady named lakshmi and she felt sorry for the whole episode and said the site has to be shown by the sales executive... in my case shiva himself... very surprisingly shiva always maintained I only sell, take money and pay to company, there is a different team who should show you the site do not bother me on this. It has been six months now that I have been a member, and shamefully no one has shown me the site... the lady also clarified that total money of rs ,000 is accounted for (thank god! some relief here), while I fail to understand how and why DID this miss for all the days (I was not sent any acknowledgement letter, the customer care boy told this is not updated, the weblogin does not confirm the same) the lady (lakshmi) also said two plots are registered on my name but not as promised by shiva (shiva had promised a north-east corner bit of 300 sq yards together), why was a wrong promise made. With the whole episode I have lost faith in your company… me and my family were irritated, bothered, humiliated with behavior of shiva kumar. To sum it up... to enroll a member your team is very smart and wear a fake smile, showering fake promises all thru to get someone in, this evaporates as and when the customer pays, and immediately a customer is an obstacle in your lives... no services once the payment is received. Kindly, come back to me on this and I would want my money to be returned as I no longer see myself being associated with a company which carries little or no respect to their customers. I shall wait for next 3 days and proceed with plan b… nothing to threaten you… my money is important to me and employees who cheat should always be taught a tough lesson! regards vidya sagar 3823
