My number(9650634228) has been blocked by all toll free numbers since june 6. On june 1, they deducted rs. 37 from my account for no reason whats over. After complaining through 198, I was given a complaint ID and was told to wait for three days. Predictably, no one bothered to respond. I called them up on june 4 and had to talk to three executives to get my issue resolved. The first two executives DID not even bother checking the system and just conveniently assumed that the amount was charged for the over usage of net. My account was credited with rs 37 in an hour or so. On june 6, I received the following message in the morning: "dear customer, your request is in process,we shall revert with the status at the earliest . Thank you" since I made no such request, I called 198 to know more about it. The executive was least interested in my query and disconnected the call. And after that, I've never been able to contact anyone through ,121 and other toll/Non-toll free numbers for non-airtel customers. Well, airtel is nothing but thorough... on june 7,they charged me rs. 9 for a 2.07 minute call,one mms and one sms. I had(and still have) both the internet and sms pack activated on my number. I tried calling the customer care centre but everytime the call got mysteriously disconnected. I contacted them through facebook(airtel presence) and they credited rs. 8 to my account, but failed to rectify the issue regarding the blocking out of my number. On june 12,my balance suddenly dropped from rs. 8.93 to rs.15.02. I still had 4.50 mb in my 2g data plan. That was the second time in this month that my balance was unfairly deducted and I still could not contact the customer care executives through 198. I had to use net for urgent business but due to the unexpected and unfair balance deduction and the response I recieved from everyone the last time it happened,I had to make do with 15 mb despite recharging my account with rs. 98. Since I could not contact anyone from airtel, I messaged them via facebook at around 7 pm. The airtel executive called me up at around 5 pm and again,could only credit my account with rs 23. No explanation was given for all the previous deductions. And,of course, I still can't conatct anyone through any of the airtel's helpline numbers. So can anyone put an end to this exasperating series of events?
