Fake call from Irda hyderabad
I received a call around 12:30 pm today (8th may' 12). A lady was there on the other side saying I am calling from irda hyderabad. God knows who told her about the policy I had from max new york. Then she said something very shocking that someone named 'neeraj blah blah' is claiming rs. 1.5l on you. I disconnected the call making an excuse of office meeting and browsed enough for this firm, I came to a conclusion that it was a fake call. I just want to say 'beware friends

I also received a call from mr omchandra told from irda verification deptt hyderabad from mobile no. 09136279354 on 21.8.12 saying that I authorised one mr neeraj sharma to receive rs.2 85 000 from my LIC policy & I should rush to hyderabad for verification. I submitted facts in writing to my LIC office to make them alert to take care of my funds with LIC. Phone nos.Referred in fake call are 9136279354 08459347409 08527162246 etc.
I also received a call from a lady told from irda verification deptt hyderabad from mobile no. 08459517055 on 29.8.12 saying that I authorised one mr neeraj sharma to receive rs.1 52 000 from my LIC policy & I should rush to hyderabad for verification.
I came to a conclusion that it was a fake call.
I just want to say 'beware friends'.
Hi today I also recived the same call from irda hyd. A lady introduce her as from irda & this call is on behafe from irda to informing me that why I have authorised mr. Neeraj sharma to recieve rs 1 lac 85 thoudand. How come she knews my LIC policies details. Then in between I interuped her and said send me your details and mr neeraj sharma so that I can go to make complaint abt this. Imediately she cuts the phone line. Call came from +918459461477. I am surprised how these people are getting our personal details like mobile no. Policies details even our home address too. Someone from our system is leaking the information. We need to fight against this.
Today I got a call from someone caliming from irda hyderabad (8459817730) caiming that LIC as issued a bonus of 250000 for me and bymistake I have authorised mr. Neeraj sharma to receive it. Then he asked me if my policy agent has given me full information about it.
When I confirmed with my LIC agent I came to know its a fake call and any bonus as such will be reflected in our LIC's profile which can be seen online
frinds beware of it.
Today I got a similar call from a phone number 9136711751 from one ashish sharma claimig to be from direct to customer section of irda. He informed me for a claim of rs 2.24 lacs as bonus from my LIC policy to be dposited in my account. However another person named neeraj sharma has done the formality on my behalf through an authorization letter by depositing rs. 42000 and has requested to deposit the bonus amount in his account. When I showed concern about knowing the person who is claiming money on my behalf my call was directed to one sanjay sharma from processing deparment of irda who gave his number as 9136766923. I was also given an insurance membership code to deal with. Sanjay sharma explained me an elaborate procedure to claim the bonus amount by taking another policy with some insurance company. He also told me to contact one rakesh bajaj hod compaints at telephone number 8743079361. I later got a call from one aditi sinha from number 8459452605 from complaints section.
By then I got suspecious on the eagerness with which I was getting phone calls and I checked up with my insurance agent only to discover that all this is hoax. I am lucky that this stands confirmed from this website.
